Colonel Michael A. Williams

Colonel Michael Williams began his law enforcement career in 1990 at the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. His career started as a deputy in the Adult Detention Center where he now serves as the Division Commander. During his career, Colonel Williams also worked in Field Operations Uniform Patrol, Transport, at the joint agency narcotics unit known as MCS, and he worked as a hostage negotiator on the SWAT Team. Before joining the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, Colonel Williams served four years in the United States Army. He was born and raised in Marietta and graduated from Sprayberry High School.
