Lieutenant Colonel Stacey Bains

Lt. Colonel Stacey Bains has been with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office since 1999. She has worked in multiple units over the years; such as Court Security, Field Operations, Domestic Violence, Civil Division, Internal Affairs and Detention. She has spent the past 4 years in Support Services at the Detention Center overseeing Medical, Mental Health, Classification and Disciplinary units. She is also the current PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Coordinator. Prior to this, Lt. Colonel Bains was the Shift 1 and Shift 4 Watch Commander, leading from the front with her troops, mentoring them and helping them attain their goals.

Lt. Colonel Bains enjoys golfing, traveling and stand-up paddle boarding. She and her husband love trying new restaurants around town and refer to themselves as “self-proclaimed foodies”!
