Criminal Background Checks

Criminal background checks are simply a review of an individual to determine any criminal activity. Often times, an employer may require a criminal background check for employment purposes.

The Sheriff’s Office fee for a background check is $20.00.

CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

8:00 A.M to 3:45 P.M.
Monday-Friday, excluding holidays
CLOSED from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Daily

The Fingerprinting Section only accepts the following forms of payment:

Credit Cards
Debit Cards
Mobile Payments

There is a 3.5% processing fee for each payment transaction.

IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, YOU MUST:

Appear in person at our Headquarters in downtown Marietta at 185 Roswell Street.
Provide a valid government issued picture identification; a Social Security Card is not acceptable.
Provide your name, date of birth, sex, race, and Social Security Number
