Recap: Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Celebrates 13th Year of Participation in the Polar Plunge
The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office participated in the 2026 Polar Plunge on Saturday, Feb. 21, marking its 13th year supporting Special Olympics Georgia. This year’s sheriff’s office theme, “Gone Fishing,” brought creativity and energy to the shoreline as Team Plunge Crazy gathered at Acworth Beach and braved the icy waters for a cause that changes lives.
As part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, the Polar Plunge continues to serve as a signature fundraising event benefiting athletes across the state. To date this year, the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has raised $4,065, directly supporting 40 athletes with the opportunity to train and compete in the Summer Games. These funds help provide year-round sports training, competition, and critical resources that empower athletes both on and off the field.
Deputy Cramer marked a personal milestone by completing his 10th Polar Plunge, demonstrating a decade of unwavering commitment to the mission. Deputy Cramer and K9 Sherlock also earned Top Fundraising K-9 Team, raising an impressive $1,500 in support of the cause.
The 2026 Polar Plunge once again highlighted the sheriff’s office’s dedication to service beyond the badge—strengthening community partnerships, championing inclusion, and standing alongside the athletes who inspire us all.
