COBB COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TERMINATES EMPLOYEE ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED CHILD MOLESTATION
MARIETTA, GA. - Ivan Munoz, a civilian employee at the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, was arrested early Wednesday, April 16, for two counts of aggravated child molestation. He joined the Sheriff's Office in 2000 and, until his firing, was a criminal justice specialist.
"After being briefed on the investigation and pending charges, I immediately terminated this individual's employment," said Sheriff Craig Owens. "These are particularly egregious charges, and his behavior goes against everything we stand for in law enforcement. We must do everything we can to stop the victimization of innocent children."
The Marietta Police Department conducted the criminal investigation that resulted in the arrest warrant.
If you or someone you know is concerned about a child's safety, please contact your local police department or call 911 in an emergency.
Media should direct further inquiries regarding the case to the Marietta Police Department
