Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Statement on Passing of First Lady Rosalynn Carter


MARIETTA, GA - On behalf of the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Craig Owens joins Cobb residents in mourning the loss of a remarkable individual who has left an indelible mark on Georgia and the entire United States—former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Mrs. Carter's unwavering commitment to public service and advocacy has touched the lives of countless individuals. Her tireless efforts in mental health awareness, caregiving, and human rights have paved the way for positive change. 

As we acknowledge Mrs. Carter's significant impact, we extend well wishes and prayers to President Carter and the entire Carter family.
