Highlighting Suicide Prevention, Community Partnerships, Awards, and Citizens Academy Graduation
MARIETTA, GA (September 25, 2025) – The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office invites the public to attend its community briefing on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at the Cobb County Public Safety Police Academy. As part of Sheriff Craig Owens’ continued commitment to transparency and community engagement, this event will feature updates on agency initiatives, recognition of outstanding service, and the graduation of the Citizens Academy Class.
Highlights of the evening include the Sheriff’s Office partnership with No Bull, featuring a video of the collaboration, and a presentation by the Wellness Team in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, showcasing a special slideshow and emphasizing the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Community partners will also be recognized, including Gotcha Covered Blankets, Cobb Collaborative, and Notes of Impact.
The program will also feature recognition and awards, including cadet recognition, the Commendation of Excellence Award, and the K9 of the Year Award. In addition, the Sheriff’s Office will celebrate the graduation of its latest Citizens Academy class. Guests can look forward to raffle giveaways and closing remarks from Sheriff Owens, who will provide important updates on current and upcoming initiatives.
