Cobb County Sheriff Hosts Free Family Fun and Hiring Event

MARIETTA, GA (July 6, 2023) -- The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a free, open-to-the-public family fun and hiring event that allows families of law enforcement applicants to be part of the hiring process from start to finish.

Applicants will speak with members of the different units that make up the sheriff’s office, conduct an interview, and take the physical agility test in one stop.

Families of CCSO staff and leadership will also host a Q&A session to share what it’s like to have a loved one serve as a deputy and to answer any questions a loved one may have. In addition, the sheriff’s office will give away over $10,000 worth of school supplies to students and teachers at the event.

What: A family fun and hiring event featuring food trucks, a live DJ, bouncy houses, face painting, backpack and school supplies giveaways, and static displays of cutting-edge equipment. Members of S.W.A.T., mounted patrol, K-9, and more will also be present.

When: July 8| Media Check-in: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Event: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
