Cobb County Jail Celebrates Women's s Graduation from Parenting 101

Recap: Cobb County Jail Celebrates Women’s Graduation from Parenting 101

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office recently celebrated the graduation of participants from its nine-week Parenting 101 program on Thursday, Oct.16. The event highlighted the graduates' dedication and growth throughout the program, which aims to strengthen parenting skills and family relationships.

The ceremony opened with a warm welcome from Deputy Tonya McClendon, followed by Counselor Christina Saliba, who discussed the significance of the occasion, highlighting the graduates’ achievements and the program’s positive impact on families.

Saliba and Asst. Chief Deputy Rhonda Anderson led the certificate presentation, congratulating each graduate for their hard work and commitment. Anderson also offered words of encouragement, inspiring graduates to continue applying the skills they’ve learned to build stronger family connections.

Major Aaron Jenkins provided heartfelt words of encouragement, commending the graduates for their perseverance and dedication to personal growth. He reminded them that change begins with self-awareness and encouraged them to keep striving to be positive role models for their families and communities.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Col. Michael Williams, who offered words of wisdom, encouraging graduates to use their newfound knowledge to foster nurturing and resilient family environments. Williams commended the graduates for their dedication and reminded them that the skills they’ve gained will have a lasting impact on both their children and the community.

The Parenting 101 graduation stands as a testament to the Sheriff’s Office commitment to supporting families and fostering positive change within the community.
