Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit & U.S. Marshals SERFTF Assist in Capture of Fugitive wanted for Child Molestation in Cobb County in Mexico!

On Thursday February 25th, 2016 warrants were issued for the arrest of Moises Bernal Ramirez for two counts of child molestation.
The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in locating and apprehending Ramirez.
Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit along with the Task Force conducted numerous interviews and periods of surveillance in the metropolitan Atlanta area in an effort to locate and apprehend Ramirez.
On Tuesday January 7th, 2020 Investigators received Information that Ramirez could be located at a residence in Temixco, Mexico and forwarded this information to the U.S. Marshals attaché in Mexico.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force & the Mexican Federal Police located Ramirez at the address provided from the investigators in Georgia & after a period of surveillance Ramirez was captured on Thursday January 9th, 2020.
Ramirez has been extradited back from Mexico to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center awaiting trial for the outstanding warrants for child molestation.
The combined effort of the Fugitive Unit with the Task Force agents in Atlanta and Mexico brought this fugitive to justice after being on the run for four years.
