Inmate Escapes Custody

January 16, 2006 at
approximately 12:30 pm Dameon James
Niswonger escaped from custody at the Prison Unit
of the Cobb County
Adult Detention Facilities. Niswonger was being held on multiple felony drug and
traffic related charges. In addition,
he is being charged with escape from a penal institution. An internal investigation is on-going. Initial indications are that while in the
exercise yard, he scaled a 10 foot barbed wire fence and fled the area by vehicle.
Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Investigators are
actively pursuing Mr. Niswonger, who is a white
male, 34 years old, 6’0” 175 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone that has information regarding the
location of Dameon Niswonger is asked to contact
the Cobb County
