COBB COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

PRESS RELEASE

Husband and Wife arrested by Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday October 25, 2011 at approximately 9:00 am, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Heather Sterling at the Cobb County Visitors Center. Sterling was visiting her husband, Christopher Noah Jordan who is currently in custody at the Cobb County Jail.

Sterling, 36, and Jordan,33, both from Marietta were arrested earlier this year on aggravated assault and shoplifting charges. However, both are facing new charges of Crossing Guardlines - Drug/Weapon/Alcohol (F) violating O.C.G.A 42-4-13d(1)   According to Sheriff Warren, on three separate occasions Sterling mailed Synthetic Marijuana, as well as suspected Oxycodone, to inmates in custody at the Cobb County Jail.  After further investigation, it was discovered that she was in collaboration with Jordan who asked her to mail the suspected drugs to the Cobb County Jail.

“The mail room receives in excess of 15,000 letters and parcels each month stated Warren.  “However, Jail personnel intercepted the mail before it was distributed to the intended inmates.  Each day our staff inspects all written correspondence sent to inmates and are to be commended for their efforts” said Warren.

Sterling is charged with Reckless Conduct (M) as well as violation of her previous bond that stated that she was to be under house arrest only to leave for Doctor’s appointments.  Both are currently in custody at the Cobb County Jail.
