Subject of “Mattie’s Call” Located

     The man who was the subject of a “Mattie’s Call” initiated by the Cobb County Police Department on Sunday, August 7, 2011 has been located.   Charles LeVaughn Parks, Jr., 26 of Mableton was seen by a citizen entering a wooded area near 3970 Ewing Road on Monday, August 8, 2011 at approximately 3:00 pm.  The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Tracking Team consisting of K-9 “Doc” and his handler Sgt. Daryl Wilson responded and were able to find Mr. Parks within 20 minutes of tracking his scent.  

     Mr. Parks was transported to Cobb WellStar Hospital and was treated for  minor scratches and possible dehydration.
