Suspected
Arrested on Prescription Fraud
On August 4, 2010 at
approximately 7:30 p.m., Cobb County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Cherokee
County Sheriff’s Office in the service of a search warrant at 3269 Meadowview Lane, Marietta, Georgia.
The search warrant was related to an on-going investigation conducted by both
the Cherokee County and Cobb County Sheriff’s
Office regarding multiple fraudulent prescriptions for dangerous drugs.
Arrested at the scene was
Christopher Ross Samuels, 43 YOA of Marietta, Georgia. Mr. Samuels is charged with seven (7)
counts of Forgery in the First Degree, two (2) counts of Forgery in the
Second Degree, two (2) counts of Fraudulently Obtaining Controlled
Substances, and six (6) counts of Obtaining or Attempting to Obtain Regulated
Drugs. Also
recovered was one .380 caliber firearm.
Mr. Samuels is currently being held in
the Cherokee County Jail with a bond exceeding $100,000 dollars.
The investigation is continuing by both Cherokee
and Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.
