Sheriff’s Investigation Leads to Arrest Of MUST Ministries’ Staff

On Wednesday June 8, 2011 at approximately 3:00 pm, the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit arrested Ronald Gene Bickerstaff (62) of Acworth, GA for sexual misconduct.  The arrest occurred at MUST Ministries located at 55 Elizabeth Church Road, Marietta, Georgia 30060. 

According to Sheriff Neil Warren, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in early June alleging inappropriate sexual contact by Bickerstaff and opened an investigation. “The incident involves a female probationer who was fulfilling her requirements for Community Service Hours at MUST Ministries where Bickerstaff served as an Operations Manager” stated Warren. “This is an ongoing investigation and if there are any other victims, please contact the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit at 770-499-4752.

Bickerstaff is charged with Sexual Assault (F), Sexual Battery (M) and False Statements / Writings, Conceal Facts (F).  He is also accused of preparing and submitting falsified Community Service Hours following the alleged sexual misconduct.  The suspect was booked into the Cobb Jail and has been released on a $35,000. bond.
