Inmate Self-Inflicted Injury
in Court Holding Cell On April 30, 2010 at approximately
10:30am, an inmate in a court holding cell attempted to harm himself by
making superficial cuts to his wrists with a small piece of contraband. Fabian Britt, 22, of Austell had appeared
in Cobb Superior Court before Judge Lark Ingram on charges of burglary and
possession of drugs and was waiting to return to the courtroom when the
incident occurred. Deputies responded immediately with
first aid and Emergency Medical Technicians were called. Mr. Britt was transported to The incident is currently under investigation
by the Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Unit. #
