Fugitive Unit Tracks Down & Arrest Two Wanted Suspects!

On Saturday November 25, 2017 Arshade Jayquan Yates shot his victim in the lower back with a 9mm handgun at 2121 Windy Hill Road in Marietta, GA and then fled the scene. Marietta Police Department arrived and started their investigation. On February 7, 2018 a warrant for Aggravated Assault was issued for Yates. The Cobb County Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force immediately started their investigation and located Yates in Newport News, Virginia area.

After a period of surveillance in Newport News, Virginia area the U.S. Marshals Task Force apprehended Yates as he exited an auto parts store without incident on Monday June 4, 2018. Yates was transported to the Hampton County Jail in Virginia to await extradition back to Georgia.

 

On Thursday May 31, 2018 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Lameeka Burden charged with Homicide by Vehicle 1st Degree. The Cobb County Sheriffs Office was unable to locate Burden at her listed address of 1806 Neely Avenue in East Point, GA The sheriff’s office requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on Friday June 1, 2018 to assist in locating and apprehending Burden. During the investigation information was obtained that Burden was seen in the Old National Hwy and College Park area.

After continuous surveillance, Burden was located at the Ramada Plaza 5010 Old National Hwy Atlanta, GA on Monday June 11, 2018 in a room under an alias name. Fugitive Agents then made contact with Burden as she exited the hotel room and were able to take her into custody without incident.
