Fugitive Unit Arrest Former Cult Leader & Fugitive from Justice charged with Murder.

Great Work by the Fugitive Unit and United States Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on the arrest of a former cult leader and fugitive from justice Anna Elizabeth Young. While residing in Alachua County, Florida, and running a “religious boarding school” Young aka “Mother Anna” was charged with felony child abuse for bathing a 12 year old female victim in a steel tub with chemicals causing severe chemical burns to the child. Young had fled from Florida and was located and captured 8 years later in an attic at a relative’s house in Illinois. Young was then extradited back to Florida where she was convicted and served time.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (FL) developed new information recently during an investigation and were able to substantiate that Young had not only tortured children, but had committed Premeditated First degree homicide-murder of a child. A warrant was secured and the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force was contacted and requested to locate and apprehend Young on the outstanding murder warrant, as Young was last known to have moved to Georgia.

The United States Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in conjunction with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit located Young at 174 Bridgestone Drive in Marietta, Georgia. (Young had married and living under the last name of Anderson) Surveillance was conducted at the residence and on 11/30/2017 the United States Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Units made contact with Young-Anderson at the residence and took her into custody without incident.
