Schedule: Shift Work

Essential Functions:
· Maintain central control and tower controls in Detention Center
· Ask questions of arrestees to elicit information needed to complete forms and establish a security assessment, housing needs and victimization potential
· Prepare for and testify effectively in court proceedings
· Receive and take inventory of inmate personal property
· Use NCIC and GCIC computer system to check outstanding charges on inmates, send teletypes to law enforcement agencies; contact local agencies to check for outstanding warrants
· Receive logs and record various legal documents
· Interact with defendants, attorneys and other persons requesting information or documents
· Answer phone, operate switchboard system and respond to general inquiries
· Cross train to perform additional duties when necessary
· Format and types letters, memos, forms, flyers, newsletters and other correspondence 
· May collect money and perform basic accounting

Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Date Entry skills (6,000 keystrokes per hour minimum) required
