Work Release Center

The Work Release Center was established in 2003. The facility permits qualified, non-violent, sentenced inmates to serve their sentence in a minimum-security facility while being released during the day to work. The 384-bed facility helps to relieve overcrowding in the jail and provides a structured living environment that prepares the individual to re-enter society.

A primary objective for the Work Release Center is to allow qualified inmates to be gainfully employed while serving their sentence. This facilitates the collection of victim restitution, court order fines and child support in addition to allowing the inmate to meet other personal obligations. Participants must pay a board fee and comply with a stringent set of rules and regulations while serving their sentence at the facility. Read more...
