Lynda Coker, Chief Deputy
It has been an honor to serve as the Chief Deputy Sheriff of such a well respected, progressive organization. As we celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the Cobb County Sheriff's Office, the citizens can be proud of the continued level of professional services this agency has provided our county. Since the creation of the Sheriff's Office in 1833, each elected Sheriff, from Tandy Martin to the current Sheriff Neil Warren, has the vision, leadership and courage to plan and prepare for the future.
One of the critical components of any successful organization is to have a Management Team that is comprised of experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated men and women. Sheriff Warren has appointed a Sheriff's Office Command Staff is second to none. Under his leadership and direction, this team has the skill and foresight to handle the day to day demands of an agency that employees over 700 individuals and houses over 2,300 inmates in the County Jail.
It is the objective of the current Administration to assure that the future leaders have the necessary resources to lead, guide and direct this agency for many years to come. By assuring our deputies have the best training, equipment and resources, I am confident that the Cobb County Sheriff's Office will continue to serve the citizens of this county for the next 175 years.
